Friday Night Drinks

Some may argue that the dilution of champagne with orange juice is a dreadful waste however I think there are some occasions that require a Mimosa. I always feel that I have drank something good for my health when I have a Mimosa. This pretty orange 1960s dress looks ideal to be wearing and of course sitting on this French balcony or under the Mimosa Tree would be the ideal place to enjoy. On another note we received in store today the Alex Perry couture dress that Megan Gale wore to the 2007 Logie Awards (the Aussie equivalent of the BAFTAs or Emmy's for those of you for overseas!). It is a stunning dress, visit http://www.closetmelbourne.blogspot.com/ to see more. Happy Friday!

Mimosa
Champagne
Orange Juice
Fill a champagne flute half full with champagne and top with icy cold freshly squeezed orange juice. Enjoy!

  2. Mixing champagne with orange juice is a bit like going to the trouble of crystalising little mimosa blossoms in sugar, as eaten by me when a child - they are supposed to be a cake decoration, but I used to eat them from the box.

  3. Do you have any pictres of them in bloom Cro? I know it is completely ridiculous to dilute champagne with orange but there is an occasion about once evey year I can stomach doing it. Did the sugared mimosa make you sick Tom?!

  4. No, Maiden, they were very delicate tasting little things, and my mother wouldn't let me eat the lot - too expensive!

  5. Sadly Maiden, there are no trees nearby, but the shops and markets are full of beautiful bunches.

  9. Sacrilege. 'Overhere' dares berate the group Bucks Fizz; they were in fact one of the finest, most daring, perfectly honed..... Damn I've just been sick all over my record collection.
